Day 01: Arrive in Beijing

Arrive in Beijing International Airport and be greeted by your guide who will escort you to the hotel, and the rest of the day is leisured.


Day 02: Beijing

Tiananmen Square, Beijing
We begin our discovery of this 2,000-year-old city at vast Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, seat of imperial power during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), and Summer Palace, the former royal retreat with beautiful gardens and temples that is now a lovely park attracting both visitors and locals. Tonight we savor a traditional Peking duck dinner, followed by a traditional opera - Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B, L, D)


Day 03: Beijing

Great Wall
This morning we tour the Great Wall, the incredible collection of ancient defense installations (and UNESCO World Heritage Site) that stretches almost 4,000 miles from the East China Sea to Central Asia and where we visit the Ba Da Ling section by cable car. Than, we go to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. (B, L, D)


Day 04: Beijing to Datong

Our day begins with a rickshaw ride through Beijing ancient back roads and alleys (Hutongs). Here we visit the home of a local family for a rare glimpse of the traditional communal lifestyle that is fast disappearing; after than, you take a soft-seated train to Datong. When you arrive in Datong, you will be greeted by your guide, who will escort you to the hotel and the rest of the day is leisured. (B, L, D)


Day 05: Datong

Hanging Temple
Today we explore the splendid Buddhist caves Yungang Caves which are both a major land-mark of Buddhist art and a place of veneration and worship. Carved into sandstone cliffs, fifty-three caves remain, housing a gathering of over 51,000 statues, which were started by the Northern Wei dynasty in AD 453 and took about half a century and 40,000 laborers to complete. These carving show the Hellenistic, Persian, Central Asian, and Indian artistic influences evidently. After then, we go to visit the spectacular Hanging Temple which miraculously suspends itself over a dizzying void. It was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty (386 - 494 AD), and inside which contain statues of Confucian, Buddhist, and Daoist gods in stone, iron, and bronze. (B, L)


Day 06: Datong to Pingyao via Taiyuan

Today we drive to visit Pinyao Ancient Town. On our way to Pingyao, we will visit Jinci Temple which dates to North Wei, although much of its architecture is from the Song dynasty, has a wonderful temple garden. And then we visit magnificent Qiao Family Compound, the vast complex, comprising 313 rooms, is an exquisite exercise in architectural balance, its linked courtyards pervaded by a sense of equilibrium. Day 07: Pingyao to Xian

The tour of the Pingyao Ancient Town will begin from Pingyao City Wall, which is one of China's few intact Ming city walls. Pingyao's streets are lined with a wealth of traditional Chinese buildings, including courtyard houses, Temples, and more than 3,000 historic shops, such as the Ming - Qing Street, the Chenghuang Temple, the Ri Sheng Chang Financial House which is the site of China's first draft bank, founded in 1824, and the Tongxinggong ancient bodyguard Agency. And then, go to visit Shuanglin Temple which has a long history dating back 1,500 years to the Northern Wei. Take an overnight sleeper train to Xian. (B, L)


Day 08: Xian

Terra-cotta Warriors, Xian
Arrive in Xian Railway Station, and be greeted by your guide, who will escort you to the hotel, breakfast will be arranged in the hotel. This day begins with a visit to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum which housing the army of 8,000 life-sized Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses that had lain buried and forgotten for more than two millennia. Each of these astounding Terra-cotta pieces has an individually sculpted face, standing in military formation in three separate underground building.  A La Carte lunch will be arranged in a local restaurant near the Museum. After your amazing exploration of these fabulous sculptures, visit the revered Small Wild Goose Pagoda (707 AD), a well-preserved ancient building in a classical Buddhist temple, about 1,300 years old and a holy place for Buddhists. In the evening, indulge in a Tang Dynasty dumpling dinner and cultural show featuring traditional music, dance, and traditional costumes.   (B, L, D)


Day 09: Xian

Today we tour the countryside of Xian. We drive to a typical village of Northern China - An Wu Village to feel the real-life of local farmers, in which we will visit a rural primary school, a rural clinic, local farmer's family and underground cave house as well as a local cattle farm and the ancient dwelling buildings come from more than 100 years ago. Lunch will be arranged in a local family, taste some local flavor. After than, we go to visit Hanyang Mausoleum which was built for the fourth emperor of Han dynasty 2000 years ago. The female Terra-cotta warrior was discovered from there. (B, L, D)


Day 10: Xian to Guilin

City Wall, Xian
This day begins at impressive nine-mile City Wall, and a bicycle tour on the top of 600 years old city wall., visit famous Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, with an acclaimed collection of historic and cultural artifacts from different historical period of Shaanxi Province; After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a popular local restaurant, visit Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square, the center of the downtown area. Fly to Guilin. When you arrive in Guilin airport you will be greeted by your guide and escort you to the hotel. After having dinner, enjoy the ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang theatre. (B, L, D)


Day 11: Guilin

Li River, Guilin
Today, you will enjoy a cruise on the scenic Li River, floating through breathtaking mountain passes, languid waters overhung with fairy tale hills and graceful bamboo groves. You might meet farmers tending rice paddies, lumbering water buffalo, fishermen gliding along on their bamboo rafts. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a short bicycle trip (or electric car) to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's daily life there. Drive back to Guilin. (B, L)


Day 12: Guilin to Shanghai

Pudong, Shanghai
Visit the Reed Flute Cave which known as'the Palace of Natural Arts' and the Elephant Trunk Hill, after lunch fly to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai International Airport and you will be greeted by your guide. Visit The Bund and Huangpu River, Shanghai broad and bustling waterfront boulevard that once was the center of European influence in the East.  (B, L, D)


Day 13: Shanghai

Yuyuan, Shanghai
This day we tour the acclaimed Shanghai Museum, with its priceless collections of ancient Chinese bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings and furniture. And peaceful Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden with plantings, courtyards, pavilions, and create the illusion of mountains and lakes. Tonight we attend Chinese acrobatics show after dinner.  (B, L, D)


Day 14: Depart from Shanghai

Today your guide will escort you to the airport for your return flight home, or continue your tour that we Tailor-made for you. (B)
