Day 01: Arrive in Beijing

Arrive in Beijing International Airport and be greeted by your guide  who will escort you to the hotel, and the rest of the day is leisured.


Day 02: Beijing

Forbidden City, Beijing
We begin our discovery of this 2,000-year-old city at vast Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, seat of imperial power during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911), and Summer Palace, the former royal retreat with beautiful gardens and temples that is now a lovely park attracting both visitors and locals. Tonight we savor a traditional Peking duck dinner, followed by a traditional opera - Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B, L, D)


Day 03: Beijing

Great Wall, Beijing
This morning we tour the Great Wall, the incredible collection of ancient defense installations (and UNESCO World Heritage Site) that stretches almost 4,000 miles from the East China Sea to Central Asia and where we visit the Mu Tian Yu section by cable car. Than, we go to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. (B, L, D)


Day 04: Beijing to Urumqi

Our day begins with a rickshaw ride through Beijing ancient back roads and alleys (Hutongs). Here we visit the home of a local family for a rare glimpse of the traditional communal lifestyle that is fast disappearing; later, fly to Urumqi. When you arrive in Urumqi International Airport and you will be greeted by your guide who will escort you to the hotel. (B, L, D)


Day 05: Urumqi

Huyang Forest, Urumqi
We go to enjoy the stunning Heavenly Lake (Tian Chi Lake), which is deep-blue lake, lies at and elevation of 6,500 ft (1,980 m), enclosed by lofty snow-capped peak of Bogda Feng, that reaches a height of almost 20,000 ft (6,000 m). The lake area is a pastoral pleasure with postcard blue skies and trails winding through deep pine forest, crossing flowery meadows overlooked by mountain goats on precarious perches skirting streams and passing Kazak herders and cattle and dotted with Kazakh Yurts. Next, we visit Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum. There are excellent displays from all the major archaeological sites, including Niya, Loulan, Astana and Jiaohe. This is a best opportunity for learning about the lost cities of Xinjiang, as they are now all either bare or off-limits. Famous 4,000 years old "Loulan Beauty", Tang figurines and silk painting from Astana Graves, and a proto-boomerang discovered outside Hami from 1,000 years ago show us here. (B, L, D)


Day 06: Urumqi to Turpan

Today we visit the Terai Camp to experience of Kazak nomad life, have a cup of milk tea and taste really local food. Continue to Nanshan Pasture which is huge grassland with wildflowers, green grass, horses, sheep, and white yurts. Drive to Turpan. (B, L)


Day 07: Turpan

Jiaohe Ruins, Turpan
We begin our tour of this city at the amazing 2,000 years old Karez, a kind of underground irrigation system, which used throughout Xinjiang bring snowmelt of the Tianshan to this parched city through network of underground water channels. Wells, dug at intervals along the length of the channels, bring water to the surface. Without them, Turpan would rapidly join the desert. In the afternoon, continue to the Jiaohe Ruins, built during the Han dynasty as Chinese garrison town to defend the borderlands. It was destroyed by fire in a rebellion in the 14th century. It is a kind of eroded landscape, but it is an atmospheric place, let's walk around to fell its flourish in former days (B, L, D)


Day 08: Turpan to Dunhuang

Today we visit the Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta), constructed in 1778, and built by Prince Suleiman in honor of his father, Prince Emin. And then, go to the Grape Valley which is a lush stripe of green in the barren desert surroundings and filled with juicy sweet green grapes. At the valley's core is a flume of fast moving icy cold water traveling from the Tianshan to Turpan City. Next, visit the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves which are a network of grottoes featuring Buddhist figures and wall paintings. They are eclipsed by some breathtaking scenery, sculptured by the wind and redolent of an out-take from an Indiana Jones epic. We will pass the Flaming Mountain which radiates a fiery hue under the bright sunshine on our way to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves. Take an overnight soft-sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B, L, D)


Day 09: Duanhuang

Arrive in Dunhuang in the morning and be greeted by your guide who will escort you to the hotel. After have breakfast and a short rest in the hotel, we begin our discovery of this ancient oasis city at experience a camel ride across the dunes at the Singing Sand Dune (Mingsha Shan) which dune were named after the noise made as the grains of sand are crunched under foot to reach the Crescent Moon Lake which is a freshwater lake that has been a vital source of water here for thousands of years and where the desert meets the oasis in dramatic fashion. Day 10: Dunhuang

This day we tour the significant Mogao Grottos which are one of the greatest repositories of Buddhist art in the world. Inside the six hundred surviving caves were sculptures and paintings dating from the 4th to 14th century, a complete collection spanning approximately a thousand years tracing the development of Buddhism from its initial arrival in China. A cornucopia of documents on subjects ranging from history, treatises on politics, the military and science, to Buddhist sutras and even personal documents such as tax receipts were discovered preserved with a dry dark cave.    Next, the Dunhuang Museum in which include Tibetan and Chinese scriptures from the Mogao's famous Cave 17, which escaped the looting of explorers and archeologists, and relics from the South Pass (Yang Guan) and the Jade Gate Pass (Yu Men Guan) which were the China's outermost defense during the Han dynasty. Day 11: Dunhuang to Xian

Fly to Xian. Arrive in Xian Xianyang International Airport and be greeted by your guide who will escort you to the hotel, and the rest of the day is leisured. (B, L, D)


Day 12: Xian

Terra-cotta Warriors Museum, Xian
This day begins with a visit to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum which housing the army of 8,000 life-sized Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses that had lain buried and forgotten for more than two millennia. Each of these astounding Terra-cotta pieces has an individually sculpted face, standing in military formation in three separate underground building.A La Carte lunch will be arranged in a local restaurant near the Museum. After your amazing exploration of these fabulous sculptures, visit the revered Small Wild Goose Pagoda (652 AD), a well-preserved ancient building in a classical Buddhist temple, about 1,300 years old and a holy place for Buddhists. In the evening, indulge in a Tang Dynasty dumpling dinner and cultural show featuring traditional music, dance, and traditional costumes.   (B, L, D)


Day 13: Xian

Tang Dyansty Culture Show, Xian
Today we tour the countryside of Xian. We drive to a typical village of Northern China - An Wu Village to feel the real-life of local farmers, in which we will visit a rural primary school, a rural clinic, local farmer's family and underground cave house as well as a local cattle farm and the ancient dwelling buildings come from more than 700 years ago. Lunch will be arranged in a local family, taste some local flavor. After than, we go to visit Hanyang Mausoleum which was built for the fourth emperor of Han dynasty 2000 years ago. The female Terra-cotta warrior was discovered from there.

This day begins at impressive nine-mile City Wall, and a bicycle tour on the top of 600 years old city wall, visit famous Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, with an acclaimed collection of historic and cultural artifacts from different historical period of Shaanxi Province; After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a popular local restaurant, visit Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square, the center of the downtown area. Day 14: Xian to Chongqing

Today, Fly to Chongqing. Arrive in Chongqing Airport and be greeted by your guide who will escort you to the hotel. Visit the Residence and Headquarters General Joseph W. Stilwell Chief Commander (General Joseph Stilwell Museum) and the Chongqing Zoo to see pandas. After having a rich buffet dinner at 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, your guide will escort to super deluxe cruise ship and help you check in. Your Yangtze River cruise tour will begin. Day 15: Yangtze River Cruise and Fengdu or Shibaozha Shore Excursion

We disembark at Fengdu to go to Ming Shan - "the City of Ghosts" for shore excursion in the afternoon. Ming Shan is a mountain dedicated to the afterworld and its ruler. Or visit Shibaozhai (meaning Precious Stone Fortress) which is an outstanding monastery sits on an island; with the beautiful 11-story Lanruo Dian (Orchid Palace) built into the cliff above. Tonight we attend the Captain's cocktail party.  (B, L, D)


Day 16: Yangtze River Three Gorges Cruise and Shennong Stream Shore Excursion

Today we sail through the splendid Three Gorges. It starts at this point with Qutang Gorge which is the shortest of them at 5 miles (8 km) long and the water flows rapidly through the gorge, pinched between cliffs. Mengliang Ladder and Bellows Gorge are two famous attractions of Qutang Gorge. After sail through bewitching Wu Gorge which is famous for its cloudy supernatural peaks and crushing of scale, we disembark at the part of Badong, for excursion to Shennong Stream which is one of the highlights of the whole Yangtze cruise. We take rowboat detouring up the ever-narrowing, ever-more shallow waters of Shennong Stream and view the mossy cliffs, hanging coffins, cliffside paintings, plank roads, verdant plants, and precious animals. Get back to have lunch on the ship. Sail through the west part of Xiling Gorge which is 50mail (80 km) marathon reach brimming with history and legend and multiple smaller gorges and Three Gorges Dam 5-stage Ship lock.  (B, L, D)


Day 17: Yangtze River Cruise, Three Gorges Dam Project Shore Excursion, from Yichang to Shanghai

Today we do a shore excursion to massive Three Gorges Dam Project which is the largest water conservancy pivotal project in the world today, it has already begun to alter the geography of the region, however, submerging towns and monuments and transforming the Three Gorges. Sail through east part of Xiling Gorge.
Arrive in Yichang - Disembarkation. After lunch in Yichang, fly to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai International Airport and you will be greeted by your guide. Visit The Bund and Huangpu River, Shanghai broad and bustling waterfront boulevard that once was the center of European influence in the East.  (B, L, D)


Day 18: Shanghai

Pudong, Shanghai
This day we tour the acclaimed Shanghai Museum, with its priceless collections of ancient Chinese bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings and furniture. And peaceful Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden with plantings, courtyards, pavilions, and create the illusion of mountains and lakes. Tonight we attend Chinese acrobatics show after dinner.  (B, L, D)


Day 19: Depart from Shanghai

Today your guide will escort you to the airport for your return flight home, or continue your tour that we tailor-made for you. (B)
